To celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Confucius Institute at UTSA and San Antonio Chinese Alliance are hosting a Mongolian Horsehead Fiddle Rock Concert at Palo Alto College Performing Arts Center showcasing Super Orient Courser, an award-winning modern folk music ensemble from China. We cordially invite you, your family, and friends to the event on May 27, 2011, Friday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center of Palo Alto College located at 1400 West Villaret Blvd, San Antonio, TX.

Super Orient Courser is a modern Mongolian horsehead fiddle (Morin Khuur in Mongolian) musician ensemble. Founded in 2005, the Ensemble made its debut as the Gold Prize winner of the 2007 CCTV China National Folk Music Instrumental Competition. In 2008 they were the guest performers at the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics Sailing Competition. When President Barack Obama made his first state visit to China in November 2009, Super Orient Courser was handpicked to perform for the President at the welcome banquet hosted by the Chinese President Hu Jintao.
