Elisa Chan has officially announced her candidacy to run for the San Antonio City Council in District 9.

As a business owner, Ms. Chan recently received Business Leader Award from North Chamber plus many other awards in San Antonio business communities in the past. She is the first Chinese American woman in San Antonio who has the ambition and drive to deeply involve in various city economic development and political activities.

Elisa has served for Chinese Society of San Antonio in various positions - Vice-President in 1998, President in 1999, Board of Director in 2000-2001, and currently an advisor of CSSA. She is well respected in communities for her outstanding involvement and contribution in community services. Elisa has demonstrated her excellent leadership to provide instrumental directions for local and international developments for City of San Antonio. We are very proud of her achievement and respectfully asking for your support for her upcoming campaign to run for the San Antonio City Councilmember in District 9. The voting for her candidacy will take place in May 2009.
